BLUES, SWING, JASS, CLASSIC AMERICAN MUSIC
Eric Evans is from St Louis, lived in Kansas City, New York City and moved to Cincinnati in the late 1990s. Eric plays a wide variety of music with a focus on classic American styles from the early and mid 20th century such as blues, jazz, ragtime, and swing. Eric performs in Cincinnati and the surrounding region, solo, and with other great musicians from all corners of the local music scene. Over the past two decades he has been a member of the groups Get Off Downtown, CEA nominated group The Sidecars, and southern Ohio's hall of fame jug band, The Cincinnati Dancing Pigs. He has appeared on and has been involved in producing several independent albums, including "Stay All Night" with The Sidecars and "Goin' To Cincinnati", "Raw Pork" and "Jugband Jelly Jam"
with The Dancing Pigs. He is currently playing solo, and in duets and small groups.
